When we talk about heaven what most people mean is something that will happen to me when I die.
In the Bible the word ‘heaven’ is rarely, if ever, used like that. In the Bible heaven refers to the place where God dwells now and from which God interacts with the world he created: no longer private and postponed but public and present.
